Justina Blakeney, founder of The Junaglow

Justina Blakeney is the founder of the cult favorite interior design and lifestyle blog, The Jungalow. Justina is credited with pioneering the “boho” aesthetic in her hugely influential work. Born in Berkeley, California, Justina claims her multi-cultural background as inspiration in her eclectic works along with the laidback California lifestyle she grew up in. Her work ranges from home decor, textiles, stationary, and more. Her great design ethos and unique vision has landed her deals with retailers like Target and Anthropologie to name a few. A visit to her website, will show you just how influential she is. Rave reviews from the likes of Domino Magazine and a cover spread in Sunset Magazine show that is an icon of the modern bohemian design movement. Her book series, The New Bohemians, was a #1 New York Times Bestseller. Justina lives in LA’s Frogtown in you guessed it, a bungalow. Check out Justina’s instagram for splashes of color, decor inspo, and her original artwork which celebrates themes like identity and relationships.

“Prejudice is a burden that confuses the past, threatens the future, and renders the present inaccessible.” Maya Angelou George Floyd. Breonna Taylor. Ahmaud Arbery. Tamir Rice. Travon Martin. Oscar Grant. Stephon Clark. Eric Garner Philando Castile. Samuel Dubose. Sandra Bland. Walter Scott. Terrence Crutcher and many many many more whose names we do and do not know. This must stop. I have made a donation to Black Lives Matter. It makes me feel less powerless in this devastating situation. Should you care to join me in donating, the link is in my profile.

We’re BAAAACK!! And I’m jumping right back in! Excited to share this pic taken by @ponsphotos for @Instagram’s @design (that light ✨🙌🏾) (…more in my stories!) Also excited to announce that @thejungalow IS HAVING A SAMPLE SALE! We are opening up our Los Angeles studio to our subscribers for the first time this weekend, Sat and Sun from 10AM – 2PM All the details (including the address) will be delivered to our newsletter subscribers so if you don’t already get the Junga-Lowdown, sign up at Jungalow.com for details. We will also be selling about 50 original drawings and paintings of mine for the first time ever. (I tend to hoard the originals 😋) These will not be sold online so this in-person sale will be the only time to purchase these works. ✨🙏🏽❤ #jungalow #justinablakeneyhome #justinablakeney

Our studio kitchen is where I cook my lunches, wash paint brushes, do dishes, create floral arrangements and water our 30+ plants. But not having a pull-down handle on our old faucet made it much harder to keep the sink clean, water our larger plants or fill tall vases with water. So, last year, when I joined the @deltafaucet Design Trust, I was excited about upgrading the faucets at the studio. Want to see what we went with? Hint: we use #VoiceIQ Technology. What is that, you ask?! Head over to the blog to get all the details on our new studio bling. Link in bio! #ad
