The Art & Design of the Pacific Design Center

Standing tall, the imposing triad of structures known as the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood is an oasis of form and function. With a 1.6 million square foot campus and over 100 boutique and international showroom brands, PDC is a haven for designers and artists. Conceived in 1975 by Cesar Pelli of Gruen Associates, the campus emerged with the ever recognizable Blue Whale building. Since then, Pelli’s vision has been completed with the add on of Green Center in 1988 and Red Center in 2012. The glass skin design and exaggerated planes of the trio are exemplary of Pelli’s Late Modern aesthetic and bring to life his idea of fallen fragments. In addition to gorgeous landscaping, the center is home to a variety of ammenities such as a branch of MOCA, a theater, conference spaces, and 2 restaurants by Wolfgang Puck. If this campus isn’t enticing enough, the Red Center of PDC is now home to deasy penner podley’s newest branch! The WeWork space offers a dynamic and pulsing work environment within the premiere design center, perfect for the deasy penner podley family and our design focused ethos.
